You've moved into color! Excellent! And excellently done. Using an in-frame lightsource, as you have with the full moon, can be very difficult. and you rose to the challenge of it. The tree is magnificant. The gnarls and boughs are shaded well, giving the tree weight and form, and is echoed marvelously in the curves and swirls of Snape's cloak. My only recommendation would be to create a more extensive area of shadow in the lower right of the picture -- perhaps by widening the canvas, or by bringing shadow up and into the form of Snape himself. Since the shadow is vital enough to be referenced in the title, it needs to be a character in itself, and you've got a great start on that.

This is fabulous!  I love how the cloak is the shadows and vice versa.  And I love the tree!

Oh, so you're of the Snape-is-bad school? Okay. Good art, though Snape's cloak actually looks like long hair, thus accentuating the femininity of his features. And the moon looks like a ball. I've not see it often look like a ball. Have you? If it is full moon, there should be no shading. If it is no moon, you don't see it at all. If it is midway then the part not illuminated is totally invisible... Just a few thoughts. But the tree is quite realistic. On with the good work!

This is really nice. His cloak and the shadows add such mystery and whimsy. I also love the tree. It's absolutely beautiful.

I really like how the cloak billows back in an almost whimsical manner. I also like the shading on the tree for some reason.

ooooooooh! I like. The grey/pale/ashy flesh tones really work here, but what do I know?

In my opinion, your best art so far. Dark, sinister, but it has a dreamy quality too. I love how you did the tree and the moon... little surreal, a bit fairy-tale-like... great! :D
