Oh, I forgot - love the colors and the composition. I'm almost
afraid that if you put in a background, it'll take away from the
picture. Unless you do the rest of the body as well, if not, I
think you shouldn't put anything in the back (a differnt color would
work, but not objects or scenery or anything like that).

Wow.. another lovely review from Vira.. I'm glad you like the colours.. I love painting fiery stuff.. just all those tones and colours.. its beautiful and surprisingly easy. I never meant to put any background in.. its still tucked away safely in my A2 (ouch heavy) art folder.. i may frame it one day.. thanks again.. please review more.. your just so nice.. :-)

WOW! Very impressive. By far one of the best fawkes's I've
seen. Is that done in water color? If it is, I'm even more
impressed. IMO, it is the hardest medium to work with - it's
always a battle for me, at least. Wonderful job,

Thanks! I've never had a 'Thats the best I've seen so far' comment so I'm totally honoured. Yeah it is in watercolour.. it actually took me a startlingly short time to paint.. about 50 mins! I surprise even myself.. usually I'm labouring over a painting for at least 4 hours. I totally will keep drawing.. not even my evil brother (future art critic and millionaire rockstar/businessman) will keep me from it! Thanks.. you made my day!

Yeah maybe.. I need to study the body of the bird a bit more as mine come out a bit odd shaped.. once I figure it out I'll do some more paintings! Thanks for the review!

Yeah. I love the film fawkes. Its face... *sqeals* ^-^
My version is a bit different. I'm looking at different variations of
the phoenix.. such as the illustrations from the phoenix and the
carpet.. the Order of the phoenix book cover etc. They really are
amazing subjects!

the colours too. Orange and fire are my favourite kind of colours to
paint.. I just love all the tones. Fawkes is my little muse at the
moment, so hopefully you can expect more!
