WOW! I love this picture! The way you have made his body look so graceful is amazing. I have always loved to draw birds but this is by far the best I have seen. Well done!

I'm so glad I decided to have a look at the latest art pieces.  Fawkes is so beautiful!  You've captured him in such a graceful pose, as though he has spotted something worth keeping an eye on...Dumbledore...Harry, perhaps?  Your use of color is very natural since feathers tend to have irridescence to them no matter how big or small or bright or dull a bird is.  I really wish your version of Fawkes could have been used in the HP movies; I don't like the movie bird at all.  Thanks for taking up the challenge and drawing the whole bird.  You've done a beautiful job.

This is the kind of review i adore.. thankyou so much! I really love the colour and tones or 'iridescence' as you put it (nice word.. may use in art coursework!), in bird feathers.. they're like mini works of art.. I love vibrant colours, and peacock feathers are my favourite.. its amazing how all those colours are naturally created.. and the shimmering, metallic quality.. just astounding. I also love blackbirds and ravens.. especially ravens.. as their feathers seem to change colour in the light. One minute they're jet black the next theyre bright blue, kinda like oil.. if you know what I mean. I'm glad you like the pose.. I looked at A LOT of different eagle, swan and goose flight photos before even thinking about trying this.. it really does help! I really love painting birds.. they are natures masterpieces in my eyes.. and so cute! I really liked the film fawkes.. and I am honoured to be compared to him, and be seen as the better! Thankyou very much! I'll take this as a cue to do more flight poses? Is this a subliminal challenge? Whatever.. I'll do one anyway!

(longest reply I have EVER written .. feel honoured.. )
