Another 'wow' from me. This is beautiful. Although I agree with you when you say the arm looks like a broom handle *giggles* but still good. I like the eye best of all. Sad looking but beautiful. |

I love your colours, so bright and warm, as though Fawkes were made of fire himself. About the arm... is that supposed to be Harry's arm when Fawkes is healing it after the snake-bite? I first thought it was some kind of a slope... |

I suppose it could be Harry's arm.. still looks more like a broom handle to me.. but hey! I'm supposed to be the artist! I see what you mean about the slope thing.. very imaginative.. I could just blag it and say its a broomstick with a strange red mark.. and its been set on fire.. but I thinks its a bit late for that.. Painting humans isn't, and never has been my strong point.. I intend to work on that aspect some time in the near future.. (like now) I did the arm majorly too brown.. I was trying to make it look dirty.. but I think I got too excited with my brown paint.. ahh well.. glad you like Fawkes. I have another on the way soon.. I've sketched it out but have yet to add colour. Thanks for the review!

Another good study of Fawkes. You're getting better and better at showing how the light plays with the barbs of the feathers getting refracted and causing the irridescence you see in so many birds. The short brush strokes you're using also imitate his feathers much better. Bravo, bravo, bravo! |

I LOVE that word!! Iridescence.. my Dad thinks I'm a genius because I
know what it means! I used it in my art coursework.. and now my Art
teacher thinks im a genius too... :-) I am very pleased with how the
feathers turned out.. I'm glad you agree! Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou!

Fawkes is gorgeous, but I must admit I agree about the arm--looks a bit more like a broomstick than an arm. Sorry. Don't like to be negative on these reviews. |

I completely agree with you on the whole arm-broom handle thing.. don't
worry.. I take consturctive (thats CONSTRUCTIVE) critism whole
heartedly... so should any artist.. it helps us to improve. The stuff I
don't like is when people simply say 'thats ' or something like
that.. fortunately I have never come across anyone so mean.. everyone
is just so nice on this site! and Deviant.. anyways.. thankyou very
much!

You are definitely improving. :) I think I like your Fawkes artwork the most- simply but colorfully, warmly done. How lovely! Is that computer art, or?.... |

Thanks. It is actually watercolour
paintings done by hand. I much prefer painting to digital art, I can
just get such better effects.. I'm glad you like my Fawkes'.. I think
they are my best too.. thankyou!
