I think it's lovely and romantic. Obviously it's the morning after their wedding night. Ginny's eyes aren't merely full of mirth; they're full of hope and tenderness, because this is the first time she's been able to watch him wake up next to her, and the realization strikes her that finally he is hers, that now is the beginning of their life together.
I think this illustration should accompany Chapter Seven of St Margarets's romantic story, "The New Zealand Chronicles." It doesn't look like Chapter Seven is on Pheonic Song, but it is available on SIYE. Chapter Seven is the wedding day, and the wedding night sequence is beautiful. Show this pic to Mary and find out what she thinks.

This is my favourite of all your works. The expressions on their
faces, though different, convey amazing contentment and
happiness. The detail is well done; I always prefer artists who
can make Ginny's freckles noticable but not overwhelming, and space
them appropriately (her cheeks and nose, shoulders and arms).
My only (and extremely minor) criticism is the size of Ginny's ring--it
looks a little to thick. I guess it stands out because it's the
one slightly off thing in an otherwise perfect picture--but that is the
nature of truly good art, I suppose! :)

I know that their hair could use more texture, but as long as I don't have a tablet, I can't do it. With a mouse, it's impossible to do hair the way I'd like to :(
