Aww.. I know how she feels. I managed to crack open my kneecap in my english class one day and I wasn't allowed on the rugby team because of it. Mean gits..
Anyways I must keep reading because your story is so compelling!

Oh boy what an emotionally pack chapter. First Ginny isn't healed enough to join the Rescue and Mission. Then those girls were talking about her. Then the fight with Harry and then disappearing. But I'm so glad they made up. Yes one emotionally pack chapter.

I hope you're going to give Ginny something to do, even if it's being a clerk for a parrot. I'm really feeling sorry for her.

Don't worry - Ginny won't have to be clerk!

The other chapters aren't as depressing as this one was, I promise! Thanks for reading!

Oh, and I just realized that the housewife comment sounded wrong when I read it over. I meant that she wouldn't have anything to do all day, because she doesn't have any kids to look after or that much to clean or anything, but it ended up sounding kind of negative or degrading or something. Sorry, just wanted to clear that up.

LOL - I knew what you meant - if I had nothing but an empty house to look forward to all day, I'd be pretty bummed out, too. Don't worry - Ginny won't fall into that trap.

phwew! I think I've been holding my breath for the entire chapter! That was tense. Ugh! That sucks! I can't believe it! All that... And then the fight! I mean, they both had such good reason to be angry, but they were both so mean, and, well, I was really hoping some sort of truce would be made by the end of the chapter, or I'd be anxious and gloomy until the next update. Yeah, the ending was really nice, even though everything isn't really resolved yet. Oh, and I don't know what you're gonna do with Ginny while Harry's off rescuing people. *sigh* Ooh, it's just awful! Ginny wouldn't be content with being, like, a housewife or something all day! I guess she could still do a lot of things, but the situation still stinks.
Now that I've babbled on for forever, I'll end with saying that I'm really looking forward to the next chapter and that this is really great so far! Some stories have periods where the story kind of gets a little boring or uninteresting, but this has been consistenly wonderful!

Oh, good - you're feeling like poor Ginny did. That means I got the emotion across just fine. Yes, this was a very hard chapter to write because I love H/G and I hated putting them through that - but they both have bad tempers and that's something they're going to have to learn to deal with. That first fight of a marriage is usually a doozy, but it's something ever couple has to work through. It will take them a few days, but they'll be better than ever, I promise. Thanks for reading!

That was so sad. Ginny really should have known better really, Harry was just concerned about her is all. Now on to other things, I loved the parot, he was hilarious! Great chapter, I can't wait for the next one.

It was fun to throw in a real talking parrot. You'll see more of him. And Ginny is learning more and more about Harry all the time.

Not to worry - they're together - it was just a really bad fight - one they never dreamed they would have. But things will look up from here.

Hello!

Thank you for telling me about your livejournal. I've been reading your updates and just finished chapter 24 when I thought "hmm...perhaps I should tell her how much I enjoy the story...instead of reading and not doing anything" lol

Any freakin' awesome. I see that you are only nine chapters behind on getting this story updating on here. Not bad....I'm enjoying this....lol. I'll try to review here for you sometimes to let you know if you like. Keep up the good work!

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I should put links at the bottom of the chapters on LJ to make it easier. Yes, Sherry has been cranking these out for me, which is really nice.

Thanks for letting me know you're reading. You can always stop in on LJ. I take anonymous replies as well.

Wow! What a tough introduction to New Zealand! What a rotten deal for Ginny and Harry but especially Ginny. I hope Harry is more patient and understanding of how devastated she is by not being able to join him in the training like they had planned. It is really bad that she showed such a bad attitude in front of the people Harry is going to be working with. This is a really difficult beginning for their new marriage. I hope things get better. I'm sure they will have their ups and downs. Thanks for writing. I look forward to the next chapter. p

I know. Poor Ginny - she and Harry weren't expecting it and therefore all of their worst behavior came out. But as they both learned, they have to be more careful with that and with each other if they are going to make it work. Don't worry, things will be on the upswing soon.

Have to review here, too... Especially as some things jump out. Like bait for Ramora. I immediately got this picture of Lee, sitting by that underground lake beneath London, watching his patronus play with Ramoras (worrying about death eaters, but let's not go there now). >happy sigh< I've said it before, but I'm just too happy repeating it: You've built a fab Universe, and I love the interconnectedness of your stories.

Tough thing, getting your plans upset the way Ginny did, but a good thing in the long run. Good example of blessing in disguise, actually.

Hugs, Berte

My husband would love your bait analogy! LOL. This is the problem with WIPs - you have to put in a lot since you don't exactly know what you're going to need. Ron the Builder will be much more streamline since I can revise it before posting!

Yes, it is Ginny's blessing in disguise - but it's so hard for the characters to see it when they're in the middle of it. I almost have chapter 25 written, but I have to be away all day and I just want to finish it. Maybe that will be a blessing in disguise, too! LOL.

Such a sad and hopeful chapter. Harry and Ginny are so young and do, indeed, both have tempers. But they love each other.

Reading this always makes me feel sorry we didn't have time to see much of South Island. It is so lovely.

Oh, this was a tough one to write, I'm telling you. But as you know, they do grow and change because of it. I would love to go to the South Island and see how I did with the descriptions. Some day. Thanks for re-reading!

"only those of a certain generation have noticed Healer Welby!"

Lol, that is not true! i'm 18 and I got the reference, but i've hung around my grandmothers a lot.

I think this was my favorite chapter so far. It was very real and emotional. I thought Harry's anger was very well portrayed. In the books he can yell a lot, but when he is really angry, he becomes so cold.

I guess this chapter explains why Ginny couldn't do magic when pregnant with Seraphina in "Quik Quotes Quill" (or "Sera's Story").

I'm glad to hear that you've written up to part 25. you know what they say, a regular update keeps the doctor away!
Monday 26th March 2007 18:20The New Zealand Chronicles (Author Response)
That's because you're so darn smart! LOL. I knew all about Laurence Welk and Tommy Dorsey because of my grandparents, so I believe you.

Yes, Harry gets the cold rage that freezes everyone out - and that is just unbearable to Ginny who just wants to yell and get it all out and over with. They learned alot in this chapter. Sigh. I hated writing it, though.

Yes, you'll have you're regular updates, and you'll stay healthy!

And yes, Ginny can have children - it will just be an effort. Thanks for reading!

Oh poor Ginny! This is definitely the worst thing that could happen to her self-esteem.

This continues to be an excellent story & I'm looking forward to updates.

I am so slow. I just now cottoned on to "Healer Welby".

What an up and down roller coaster of emotions here. Once again quite nicely done. I am also grateful for your timely updates as it makes the story flow...well not that there is anything wrong with re-reading things as I have been known to do that, it is just such a treat to see frequent updates!

Ginny's feelings are palpable and her encounter with Harry at training was so tender.

LOL - only those of a certain generation have noticed Healer Welby!

I know - I hated to put Ginny through all of that, but every marriage hits a crisis now and again - and H/G were due for one.

Sherry's been very good about getting this beta'd and up. I'm currently writing Chapter 25 now, so updates should come quickly. Thanks for reading!

Poor Ginny! It looks like is going to get better. I remember the 1st married fight I had with my husband. I felt a lot the same way that Ginny did. It is great story.

Well, everyone has to fight sometime - but poor H/G - they're not used to fighting each other. But this is a learning experience, and as you say - things will get better!

I loved this chapter, I think it is my favorite so far.
The way you described Ginny's feelings, thoughts and behavior is exactly the way I feel, think and behave with my husband, and Harry was so much like my husband that it almost freak me out. I suppose then, that a lot of couples are like that.
Beside all that, I really like where this story is going, and I have to mention the parrot, it was so cute, I wish I had a parrot like that.
Monday 26th March 2007 08:57The New Zealand Chronicles (Author Response)
Oh, this was a killer to write! I hated having to put Ginny through that. I'm glad Harry was recognizable. It's because he was so scared and worried that he was so angry. They both have those tendancies if they don't watch it.

You'll see more of Clark (the parrot). Thanks for reading!
