Inventing Life
If I've reviewed this before, I can't find it. Maybe on LJ…? Who knows?! ;-) Regardless, this is one of my very favorite post-DH fics ever. As always, you make each of these lovely people come alive in much the same way as they do in canon, and I love them — and your writing — b/c of that. Ginny and Harry's interactions are absolutely perfect, and I *love* that what gets Molly "in gear" the most is that Harry needs his arse kicked, and he needs it kicked by Molly!!

Absolutely perfect!!

Thank you so much! This is one of the few stories I was actually happy with when I finished it, and I'm thrilled you like it.

I like this one--I'd like to see a little bit more, including Harry letting Ginny back in, but it's good the way it is.

That was awesome! I always loved the fact that Ginny was the only one who could get through to Harry, and you displayed that here marvelously. The image of Harry with a ponytail was a bit disturbing, but imagining Molly Weasley forcing Harry into the bath more than made up for it! Hahaha nice job!

Yes, ponytail!Harry gives me the shudders too, but Molly soon sorts it out!

Thank you very much!

I've just returned home from running a convention, the planning for which has taken up all of my spare time for the last few months. Now I have free time again, I have plot bunnies nibbling at me, so hopefully, I'll be a bit more active over the coming year!

Very well-written. Somehow, I have never bought into the idea that Harry would have a complete breakdown or a huge amount of trauma re-adjusting after the war - at least no more than anyone else. I agree he would be a bit at a loss due to not really having any previous belief in a future for himself, but I think it would be more of a minor stumbling block. That said, I think you did a nice job with this and at the very least, you did show us the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you!

Oddly enough, considering that I wrote this story, I also think Harry would pick eveything up with a minor amount of fuss. But I was in angst mode when I wrote this, and just went with it.

Wow! Excellent story, I wasn't expecting that. I'll have to check if you have more fics. This rang true to cannon and had a beautiful descriptive writing style that put me right next to the characters. Good job.

Just read all three stories posted on Sunday, 18th Jan.

You write with an excellent technique which makes the characters really lifelike. Good stories

I love this story too. So like Harry to feel bad and eventually lost once the war ended. Ginny, though, knows how to help him and you wrote it just well.

Thank you so much! I can't imagine living in such a high pressure situation for seven years, and not struggling once that pressure was gone.

I'm glad you liked it.

You got me with the characterisation of the Weasleys in the beginning, especially Bill - so true!
A very nice story, thanks for sharing.
But how come preOOTP?
Monday 19th January 2009 16:36Inventing Life (Author Response)
It's not pre-OotP - it's post DH Battle, pre DH Epilogue.

Thank you for reviewing.

Great story - I like how there was no interaction between the characters at the beginning and end sets the scene up really well.

I like the stories that deal with the after effects of the last book. I think you hit the nail on the head with the way Harry would behave. I enjoyable read. Thanks.

Thanks! I like the stories that follow up on the aftermath of the battle, so thought I'd try my hand at writing a little one-shot.

Glad you enjoyed it, and that you think I got it right.
