Okay, 'stubborn Yank' Gerald Rivers has got to be a take on Geraldo Rivera .
Nice chapter. Good to see that all thoughts of Chris disappear from Ginny's mind when she sees Harry and that Ron is beginning to realize what a git he is about Harry . And I'm dying to find out what Harry told Sirius and Remus about those 'most intense and spirit-breaking things' he encountered at the end of the war.

Yes, I think Draco put it upon himself to become the new Drak Lord or a lower one. And it is nice that Ron is getting past this little by little. And Ginny should to. Hermione is a great friend.

I'm likeing this story so far, but I just wanted to say one thing. Harry made the decision to leave. He stayed away for over nine years. That menas, in my mind at least, that despite wanting to fall back into thw Wizarding World, he shouldn't have a problem leaving again to make a point. I could honestly see him telling Mcgonagl, with all due respect, exactly where she could stick the job when she dressed him down. (And honestly, I think it would have been a more compelling chapter if he did- he was in the right thw whole time, and he was the one who suffered for it. Like usual). Also, since Harry is apparently an heir of Gryffindor, wouldn;t the Head of House job go to him automatically by right of birth, the consequences?

Other than that, this is a brilliant story (I enjoy these post-Voldemort stories) and I do hope you finish it soon.

Thanks for your review! I appreciate it!

As for Harry's response to McGonagall, I'd have to disagree. By this point of the story, I believe Harry's just starting to understand the damage he caused by leaving the wizarding world so abruptly at the end of the war. He'd devastated the Weasleys, a family that had welcomed him into their home and hearts. His altercation with Ron really drove that home (at the end of a fist, too )

The head of house thing? Well, just because he's the Heir of Gryffindor doesn't mean he's automatically the head of house. Gryffindor is so much about honor and courage...and Harry hasn't demonstrated much of those qualities of late...anyhow, your comment has brought a few interesting ideas to mind, though. Don't know if there's enough time to incorporate them into the remaining chapters, but who knows?

Thanks again for your review!

Thanks!  I felt the same way -- that I felt more comfortable writing as the story went along...I appreciate your review!

Very nice stuff here.
I'm glad we're seeing another side of Christpher so I can dislike him more.
Ron is getting a bit more understanding, and Sirius' talk there helped me understand that people don't really *know* what Harry went through and that is why they don't understand him leaving. Is that correct? Intriguing.
By the way, I really *like* a humbled and penitent Ron. He's so sweet.
