Funnily enough, my hubby's family often refer to me as an 'odd duck'...... so I suppose it's a fitting statement about the story! |

"I wonder if You-Know-Who insists on Dark Mark emblazoned underwear."
Harry's Gryffindor courage failing him, he was about to run screaming from the scene...
This story was BRILLAINT! My GOD! This was a bloody hilarious story! *skip off to read more*

You crafted a very cute HP verse vignette Allie. Very funny.
Although it is based on one of the few things in the HP verse that really bothers me (the lack of muggle knowledge).
Anyway, I look forward to your future works! |

Great job! The story came together excellently. I particularly liked this bit:
Ron's mouth dropped open at the description of Malfoy's boxers. "What do they do in Slytherin – brand them all over?" he muttered. "I wonder if You-Know-Who insists on Dark Mark emblazoned underwear."
LOL! |

Just in comment to Mr. Intel's comment...I have to say that as a Bona Fide Brit this is what these words bring to MY mind (which may work along different lines to many people's .
Knickers brings to mind the sensible, rather voluminous garments that your grandmother (or married ladies of a certain age) might wear....(or in reality any girl who is in the least bit practical!)
Pants are generally the sort of male equivalent...that went out with the sixties
Whereas the word panties has that slightly risque edge to it...the sort of undergarment that your really would like to see your girlfirend in....as my mother once said 'She's wearing those knickers that...aren't knickers'...(imagine this being said in somewhat the same manner as Lady Bracknell referring to the infamous handbag!)

As usual, your plot bunnies are wild, wierd, whacked out and terribly funny.
Do I really want to know with what you are going to come up with next.....
And how on earth do you cope with going about your daily life if this is the way your mind works ;) :-p
Loved it

Mr. Intel Tuesday 28th September 2004 07:46 | Elasticus |
For the record, Allie's sanity is kept in a jar above the server. That way, she can keep us all entertained with such fascinating ruminations on wizarding foundational garments. :D Quite entertaining, Allie, though I really wanted Hermione to actually *say* Purely Antiquated Notions Towards Intimate Elastic Strapping, so Ron could then ejaculate, "PANTIES!?!" Though there is the minor quibble that Brits don't have panties, per se, but knickers or pants... Sigh. |

Right before I clicked on this story, I made the conscious decision to ensure nothing edible or potable was in the vicinity. I also selected a large hankie.
I was right.
Totally and utterly brilliant! There were times I laughed so hard I couldn't see the screen for tears of mirth and had to try and calm down a bit before I could continue again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! How do you do it?
Ohh, I think I cracked a rib!! *LOL* |

Thanks for answering a question I had not yet wished to consider! I love this story and how Hermione's mind works. I also can't imagine any of the student female characters wearing something as uncomfortable or old fashioned as a corset, so thanks for the enlightenment. Cute idea...very original. |

P.A.N.T.I.E.S.!
So funny. I loved that Ginny was so willing to get detention...you think she's had it from Snape before?
"Harry banged his head once more, more to brass Snape off than anything else, and tried to ignore the fact Snape had just taken twenty points from Gryffindor."
Oh, so funny! |
