Fathoming the Mind of a Werewolf

Okay, so I apparently missed a chapter.  Sorry about that Antonia.

Anyway, it was brilliant, as always.  I love that way that you're able to tie in all of the characters that we know of from the books, from the Prewetts to Regulus.  He's an interesting sort.

You cover the time very well, with smooth transitions from one date to another.  I think that's something that's hard to do.

“Well, no, Quidditch is Quidditch, but Molly’s a girl. They just don’t understand these things.”

And with that, the Gryffindor Quidditch team made their way back to the castle, shaking their heads over the strangeness of women.

*snort*  That made me laugh.  It's just what young boys would think, isn't it?  Yay that Molly had Bill though!

The ending was brill.  Great clliffy!  I wonder how much she heard.

Great chapter!

I'll forgive you since you reviewed twice!  (Yeek, sound like a big review-mongerer now, but I do like getting them.)

Lily's mind was on other things that evening.

Fathoming the Mind of a Werewolf

Sirius opened his mouth, but James jabbed him. “Don’t even think about starting that up again.”  Oh boy! I burst out laughing! So good. An in the midst of some well-written soul-searching you put this in and make me guffaw again! The last time James had seen anyone look so enraged was his mother, when he’d tied an exploding firecracker to the cat’s tail when he was seven. I thought that whole passage about the revelation was very well handled. I could see Remus being angry because he was scared for the others and the possible consequences.

And may I say... Crup. *sorry* I did enjoy the subtle way you introduced the tension of Voldithings ascent to prominance and the character development. The introduction of the Weasleys cousins (I can't remember where the apostrophe should go! Rats!) was totally brill! The whole interaction on the pitch felt very 'male' and as such, right.

The first words out of Kettleburns mouth got a huge laugh as well. I could see him being the kind to encourage Hagrid. And the tactless Sirius, laughing at Peter. And james trying to be kind to him. That reminded me of what Remus and Sirius say to Harry when he firetalks to them after the Pensieve incident.

Another brilliant chapter with enough suspense to further the plot so that even though we know how it turned out, I still wonder how you're going to get us there. An some great funnies too! What more could one desire?

Thank you, thank you Cara.  Your reviews make me smiley for ages!

I had to think about the serious Sirius line.  It's been done a lot, but I do think Sirius would have used it too, so I'm glad you approve.  I'm also really pleased that you liked the rise of Voldiething aspect.  It was an odd idea that wrote itself and wouldn't get out of my story.

As for Gideon and Fabian...I love writing these boys.  In my world (the one that exists in my head), Molly named the twins after her brothers, but she named them the other way round - Fred and George - because Fabian hated being the youngest.

Loved Remus's reaction to the Maurader's plans and Sirius' comeback with the werewolf transformations.

I like how your focusing more on the boys' friendships and leting that develop before you bring in Lily

Look forward to more

Thanks for reviewing.  I'm glad you approved of Remus's reaction.  I couldn't see him countenancing something so dangerous without a fight.  Of course, he doesn't think they'll do it.   Little does he know.

At the moment the boys are only thirteen or fourteen, so girls (even Lily) haven't come into focus yet.  That will change soon though.  Lily does make cameos, even in this chapter.
