So funny, I think the change made by Ginny to the jumper was the BEST.
No getting around that statement.

''Property of Ginny Weasley' emblazoned across the back of Harry's jumper' -- Now is that really true about the color of clothing worn at an engagement party?

The Scottish Play. AH!

Loved the 'green light/red light' thing. I've only heard that once, and I was lucky enough to be wearing blue, not green, at the last engagement party I was at.

This was brilliant. Loved Hermione laughing. Loved the "Property of" on Harry's back. That was great.

Good job.

This has to be the funniest story I've ever read! I didn't get why everyone was after him until Hermione mentioned traffic lights. This was hilarious!

Thank you so much!  It's so nice to hear that people appreciate my quirky sense of humour - they certainly don't in real life.

Erm....is this true?  Are there really colors that signify that you're taken?  <scratches head>  Apparently I'm just as clueless as Ron and Harry.

Cute fluffy, fun!  Taking advantage of how clueless men usually are about these things.

Well, we women are very good at changing the rules to suit ourselves, leaving poor, clueless men in the dark.  That's half the fun of being female!

Aw, very, very cute!  I love the idea of Ginny snogging Harry before destroying the mistletoe.

Ginny is definitely sneaky that way, isn't she, and certainly knows how to get what she wants!  I actually wonder if it really was either Fred, George or Charlie who be-spelled the mistletoe after all...

LOL'ed at:

"You've got to be joking!" Harry leapt to his feet, looking around frantically as if he expected women with pincher-type fingers to appear out of the shrubbery.

Very funny!

I loved it!!!

The last Ron saw of them as they went through the kitchen door was 'Property of Ginny Weasley' emblazoned across the back of Harry's jumper.

"So, Hermione," Ron said, taking her hand and pulling her close. "What does maroon mean?"

"'Hot'," she replied, leaning into his kiss.

That was great!

Thanks!  I'm so glad you liked it.  I just wish I could write something serious.  But, *shrug* at least these fluffy things are fun to write.  And that's the main thing, isn't it?

A fantasmic fic.  I would have loved to see the dejected look on the faces of all those women. ^_^

Thanks for the Ride

Hee hee.  "Property of Ginny Weasley"

Sadly, Ginny became rather irate when I tried to put 'Property of Allie Kiwi' on the back.  One should not irritate one's characters like that.

I loved the tone of general levity here and all the wonderful descriptions! I went from snigger to snigger very happily-especially at the idea of 'open season on Harry'. Poor lad, he really has no idea, has he?

I thought the idea about colours being used as a 'signal' was very original and when I got to this bit: The last Ron saw of them as they went through the kitchen door was 'Property of Ginny Weasley' emblazoned across the back of Harry's jumper. I fell about laughing and could barely read the last three lines! What a great twist and so very 'Ginny'.

A very affectionate piece and a great read. Thanks!

I actually pondered ending it with the line aobut Harry's jumper, but my fingers got carried away and type the last two lines about Ron.  I'm still in two minds as to whethere I should delete them.

Glad you liked it!

I like Harry's second jumper best. :o)

This was really cute and fluffy, just what the Yuletide needs!  I so adore clueless, innocent Harry.  The 'property of Ginny Weasley' was a hoot.  I can see the twins spiking the punch at their parent's party as well.
Friday 10th December 2004 18:17Signals (Author Response)

Thanks :)  Clueless Harry (and Clueless Ron, for that matter) are quite fun to write - they certainly leave themselves open to making fun of that way.

One does wonder what precisely the twins may have spiked the punch with...

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.   I suppose not many people would like being treated as a piece of meat, and particularly not Harry, since he's wary of any public attention anyway.
