ive just read the three stories...took me a while, maybe a week, or a little less...hmm...i dont remember when i started the first...oh well
point and case is that i love/loved it...
it was good...i do, however, wish that you had shown more Neville and Luna in these, but oh well. i was so happy when you showed Nev\\\'s triumph over Bella...and when you had Harry tell Bella that there was someone whom had been done more injustice by her, and he would be the one to take her down, i couldnt help but shouting out "GO NEVILLE!" i love him...and the way he killed her was so cool...
hmm...i really love it. i found it funny, though, that you waited until like the last few paragraphs in the last chapter of the first fic to get harry and ginny together. i dont think that i have ever read a fic that took that long to get them together...
i loved it, very well written...would love to read more in this universe, if you would be so inclined...lol
please post another fic from this universe soon...love it

Sorry, forgot to compliment you on a fabulous fic. I loved reading about the dedication that went into searching for Harry. They could do no less, as he did so much. Hagrid was so distraught,as he truly loves Harry, and Remus and Molly, and she wasted no time in making sure he calls her Molly. Great story. |

It really seems incomplete. With predictions of Harry/Tom, being one and the same, Harrys immortality will be weird to explain. Can,t wait to get the book on Sat.Might read the last chapter and if I don,t like it ,I,ll just stick to the fiction sites and the older fics. I just read what makes me happy,am not a fanatic to canon. |

*warm fuzzy feelings* i love happy endings. *deep contented sigh*
love your stories. the only thing i didn't like in this one was the
reunion with Ron and Hermione. It seemed to....quick and i dont
know...emotionless. Hermione should have like thrown herself on him or
something like in OotP and Ron...i could see him giving Harry a bear
hug or something. but other than that everything was perfect.

I'm happy, I'm happy, I promise I'm happy! (Is that the incentinve needed to keep going? Please?) I don't have direct comments for this, but I found myself repeating over and over, "I'm just so happy!" This really was the happy ending everyone deserves and can exist. I'm rooting for it! I must say, it was somewhat bizarre to feel such elation from a piece that you've written (no worries, that's a compliment on your dark tone). Okay, well I love this, I love you, and I'm just so darn happy!

Closure...you gave us closure! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I definitely felt unsettled by the end of "Eternity Lost" even if Snape did find the box with Harry's potion in it. I think what I had wanted was for those who played pivotal roles in Harry's life to have closure one way or another and well, now we all have it.
I think the best part of this whole story was Hagrid being the one who greets Harry first after he opens the door to the Leaky Cauldron. A very nice and sentimental touch because of the history between them and what, I presume, is a special bond only the two of them have. Also, as much as I liked Ginny's, Hermione's and Ron's reactions, the one that touched me the most was Harry's to Molly's hug and the fact that it just feels right for him to be there.
Thank you so much for three wonderful stories which are so enthrallingly well written. I look forward to your next post-HBP stories...Book 6 can't come quickly enough!

A nice endint to a great story.
Loved the 'happy endings don't have to last forever.'
Liked the medical bit, too.
BTW, I'm not so sure about hospitals in Britian, but how did Harry walk out of a hospital without any insurance/method of payment stuff?
As for the reactions of everyone, I'm glad you had Hagrid there. Made it feel more real. And Snape too.
Good. Hope to see more fics from you in the future. Wish we could have explored the elemental magic more. |
Monday 4th April 2005 08:54 | Reunion (Author Response) |
Hey Sonicdale,
British hospitals operate under the National Health Service. Basically
it means that the governemnt pays for any medical treatment you have.
It makes our A and E brilliant, because they can clock up hundreds and
thousands of dollars of treatment and you don't have to worry about
paying. It does mean that we have a lot of long waiting lists for
things like cancer treatment though. Basically, Harry didn't have to
pay anything, because no one in England does (although you can go
"private" most people can't afford it)
I'm glad the reactions were realistic, and that the medical part seemed
realistic. Pye was the mediwizard who put Arthur's stitches in, so he
seemed a natural choice for "muggle remedy specialist"
I'll be sure to bear the elemental magic in mind for furhter
investigation in the sequel. Harry will be pushing the boundaries of
known magic a fair bit I should think. So we'll see what happens.
Thanks for reading,

Majick Monday 4th April 2005 07:10 | Reunion |
Myth, I can never quite get over how graceful your command of the English language is. The warmth that exudes this piece is just wonderful as bit by bit Harry and his family are reunited. I liked how you did it as well, with Hagrid being the first, and Remus second before you bring in the Weasleys. In many ways, they were the ones who deserved those moments for all that JKR - and you - have put them through.
It's been a while since I read your stories, and I know that there's a lot that's gone unsaid in your recaps. Harry had to suffer with blindness, as well as watching Dumbledore die, if I remember correctly. But still he continues, still he sought the happy ending that he deserved so much. And, as you note, by getting his own happy ending, he delivers them to others as well.
This is a welcome conclusion to one of the best series out there. Congratulations, and I look forward to your next piece. |
Monday 4th April 2005 08:09 | Reunion (Author Response) |
Majick,
Thank you, your words mean so much to me! I often think my command of
the english language is rudimentary at best, often riddled with comma
splices due to a lack of grammar training in school. It means so much
that the story overcomes the holes in my knowledge.
I always aim to write emotive, powerful pieces, and nothing makes me
happier than to know i succeeded in getting hte character's eotions
across.
And do you know sometimes i forget just how much I have put Harry
through? But expect events from those past stories, such as the
blindness and Dumbledore's death to continue to have impact on Harry as
he goes into adult (and immortal) life.
Thank you so much for this praise. It's made a bad day one of the best.
I look forward to hearing your opinions on the new piece, when it gets
there.
Thanks for reading,

Wow, Myth... Wonderful! And just to repeat myself:
How great to know that there's more in store for us when we've finished
reading HBP. For now I'm happy to let Harry get his healing rest
- but then I want to read more of your stuff. As I said earlier -
you've got youself a life task
One question - this sentence (about 38 lines from the end): "Hagrid
swallowed the dose, and for a second he felt heat prickle like sweat
across his forehead." - Isn't it Harry that swallows the dose??? I am unable to make sense of Hagrid swallowing the dose - could you please explain it to me if it is supposed to be him?
That aside, as usual you have written a capturing story that I enjoyed very much reading. Thank you!
Amamama

Sunday 3rd April 2005 02:41 | Reunion (Author Response) |
Hey Amamama,
You have keen eyes. It was supposed to be Harry swallowing the dose,
not Hagrid. I've put in a new version of the file to be uploaded, so
hopefully that error will be gone soon
I hope the sequel, very tentatively entitled "Never Forever", lives up
to its predecessors. I'd post it immediately, but it's not written yet.
I like to get about half way through writing a story before i start to
post chapters, that way I can keep up a steady posting regimen, which
readers seem to prefer to sporadic updates.
Thank you for reading and enjoying what I've written. there'll always
be something more for Harry to say, in my universe or another
Thank you,

Hello! Oh, I feel like I've waited so long for this, and I'm so glad Harry's back where he belongs. Poor thing.
My favorite part of the whole thing was when Molly realized that Harry had kept everything she had ever given him. That so touched my heart and seemed so much like something Harry would do. Sniff.
I loved all of them banding together to look for him, too. You know how I love protective Weasleys. I'm SO happy to read something from you. |
