A very good chapter. Poor Harry really jumped into a mess. Let's hope he can survive the fan club and the training. Hospital wing first day! Sounds like a Harry Potter story. Thanks for writing. p |

wow that was the biggest bother to read. snoad's accent, i mean. i had to slowly go over each word, and even then some of the words made no sense to me... |

Some fics I have the same problem with some fics I read, written by people across the other side of the pond.
Thanks for struggling through it. |

So its the memory of Tom Riddle haunting her, not a 'Ginny is horcrux' thing.
Nice quidditch piece. I take it then that Pillock is now off the team .

What a fun chapter! I loved the whole team atmosphere, Albert, Pillock, no, Pollock, and especially this sentence: What he had envisaged as a stress-free alternative to the intensity of Auror training, or the monotony of life behind a Ministry desk, was rapidly becoming an overly complex nightmare. The joys of finding the righ career, eh? I can really feel for Harry.
And in spite of Harry's training, there was a good Harry/Ginny balance with her remembering the last battle. Nice work. |

wow That was amazing. I can't wait to read more. Ginny better say yes to Harry next time!!!!! Plez don't stop wrting this story ever. I liked how Ginny didn't automatically say yes to Harry but she has to later.
Great job, Keep writing, and Plez write me back

How can I refuse such a response...
Harry and Ginny have a way to go yet, and a fair few people want to get
in the way too. So prepare yourself for an interesting ride, but
the question does get asked again.
Thanks for the review.

Harold Snoad... that name is familiar... OH! Wasn't he the bloke who produced Keeping Up Appearances? :-)

Was he? I don't know, I pinched the name from someone else. Thanks for reading.

I really don't like the way Harry treats Ginny... |

I admit to being a bit puzzled by this remark... is it the way he
treats her in this chapter, in this story or in fandom in general?

There were so many things I like about this chapter. You showed us a little of what happened in the Final Battle and we got to see how Harry's first few days of training went. (Back in the hospital already. He should feel right at home now!) Keep up the great work on this fic. It's one of my faves! Update soon please! |

Delightful...please update soon |

Kathryn and Katrina make me laugh. I feel such pity for poor Harry with those two, but I can't help wanting Ginny to be the one to show up and nurse him back to health.
Love the Quidditch injury first thing; now things are right in the world, lol. I also appreciated the glimspe of the final battle. This is going to be such fun, but when is the next time that Harry and Ginny are actually together?
The only thing that stuck right out at me was the comment that Harry had given up on feeling guilty over the death of others. Somehow, I just don't see Harry ever reaching that point. It's too much who he is. But that's minor and only my opinion, I thoroughly enjoyed the chapter. |

One of the things I’ve pondered over is how Harry manages to
deal with all the heartbreak and still remain focused enough to carry on. One
way of dealing with it is not to deal with it; to push it to one side
and leave the grieving for another time. I’m not implying that Harry no longer cares;
its just that he needs to find a way to cope and this is it.
When are Harry and Ginny going to be together again? Well there
is the pre-season bash at the end of the month and if Harry makes the squad
then I’m sure that Ginny will be down at Madam Malkin’s in a flash.
Thanks for the review

Thanks for taking the trouble to write such
a long review.
The accents are a fairly difficult thing to work out as are the use of French.
Apart from Hagrid, the books are accent free even though we know that we have
Londoners like Dean Thomas, the Patil twins etc. By rights the Weasleys should
have West Country accents. I’m surprised no Brummies have complained yet, but
my defence is that my mum was born in Birmingham and I
can say what I want *laughs*
Of the other characters that appeared Mr
Shanklin the Scot, does not speak in the chapter and the conversation at the
end involves Mr Snoad, the owner. He is from the NW of England, Cumbria.
Good to hear from you.
I looked at many ways of translating the
French and decided that if I translated it in the fic then it would take away
from the polyglot makeup of the team. But I will take on board the point to
make and see if there is some other way forward.

Well I think that Harry should leave Ginny high and dry and go for my name's sake. Although I am getting a little worried. (Seriously though before, I get a bashing, its Harry and Ginny everyday of the week for me.)
Now onto the chapter, once again it was wonderfully written and loved the quidditch but my favourite part as I have told you before is your nod to the great Bill. |
Saturday 16th April 2005 03:25 | Twelve Months (Author Response) |
Well with Bill there's a whole character waiting to be explored. Thanks for the review.

I've just had the opportunity to start reading your story from the beginning and I wanted to let you know how much I am THOROUGHLY enjoying it! The character development is some of the best I've seen in ages, the Quidditch scenes are exciting as hell (like tante said I could picture it all in my mind quite vividly) and I simply cannot wait to see how Harry and Ginny work through the things from the past to get to their future.
And the sexual tension between them is pretty wonderful as well!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us here at PS.net! I'm adding you to my author alerts so I'll be able to jump all over new chapters as soon as they hit the site. GREAT work!! |

out The Oak Tree as its a flashback. Thank you for the review.

Excellent.
I loved the trip into Ginny and Harry's minds in this chapter.
The Quidditch practise was incredible. I could see it all. Pillock has got to go. |
