"Is someone hurt?" Madam Pomfrey, apparently having developed a sixth sense for embarrassing injuries, rushed to join the fray.

Students were flocking to the banks of the lake to eat, spreading blankets and swearing at poorly constructed deck chairs.

"You do realise that you're completely wrecking my wholesome Muggle picnic?" an amused voice said loudly.

"Mr. Weasley! You didn't turn the grill off! Help! The sausages are on fire! Get some water at once, Weasley. No! That's lighter fluid!"

Ron Weasley and flammable Muggle objects should never be more than nodding acquaintances.

Ginny took another bite appreciatively. "I have new respect for Ron." She looked over at her brother frantically dishing out food, pink hat bobbing. "No. It's gone again."

Hermione was wearing a strange orange scarf around her head. It was becoming increasingly clear why she and Ron were a couple.

ROFL!  Oh that had me giggling.  Ron and his hat were hilarious.  Appropirately sweet in places and light-hearted in tone.  Great great story.

I can definitely see Hermione continuing to interfere in Harry's love life, lol. And I have to admit I'm hoping someone will pick up from where Hermione's slap left off - Malfoy deserves a good, old-fashioned punch in the nose most of the time!

I love the way you've depicted Harry in this story, especially his reactions to Ginny's affection.  Exactly the way I imagine him to feel at first - awkward, unsure, scared, yet needing it so badly. 

That's exactly how I see him, too, and I'm so hoping he ends up with Ginny, because I think she's the character most suited to handling that kind of relationship.

I really liked this little story.  Just the right mix of awkward and sweet, I think you were spot on with your characterization of Harry.  And Hermione with a clipboard is definately a scary thing.

I especially liked this little bit of sibling revelry:

I'm so happy to see this story back again.  I can't say as I'm thrilled with DD, but I really approved of the changes to where the funding came from - or lack of mention

I'm so anxious to see how the Weasley brothers make the Dursleys pay.  Somehow, adding Bill and his knowlege of Egyption curses to the twins ingenuity and Ron's fierce protectiveness makes me gleeful with anticipation.

Voldemort is worrisome, particularly since Harry is no condition to defend himself, and I think the Dursleys would sell him up the river for a tuppence.
