I love stories where Ron plays
the matchmaker. Of course, with him being a tad clueless himself, he
enlists the help of his overachieving brothers. Or underachieving,
whatever angle you want to look at it :)
I like how you tied in their scheme to the Rapunzel plot, it made for a
most distracting time on Harry's part. Women do like to entice the
objects of their desires, and a treehouse full of hair is just the
ticket! It worked, didn't it? They were snogging in no time flat!
Haha.. Weasley is your King.. my favorite line of the story. I think if
you had just put 'Weasley is your King, remember?' over and over, that
would've still gotten my vote. Nice job on this!

This is brilliant, quite my favourite entry of the contest I love the idea of Harry and Ginny swamped in all that shiny red hair - no wonder Harry was so happy!
In my mind's eye, I see the hair being so long and thick that it makes
a comfortable bed for our favourite couple to collapse back onto.
Hopefully without yanking the hair out at the roots
And as for Ron and Hermione faking their argument, well, who would know?
I love the idea of Harry and Ginny being faked into kissing - and that
they didn't need much convincing! Given the glacial rate at which the
story suggests their interest in each other has developed, I can well
understand Ron losing his patience. And any story that features
MasterPlannerRon automatically gets a from me, because the guy really is worth his weight in gold.
Congrats on an excellent story!

storyline, and wondered how that would have gone down being submitted

This was really fun to read. I hadn’t realized how many opportunities there were for magic in the original story until you pointed them out. I loved Ron’s letter and the identical grins which Fred and George sported as they started their plotting. One of the best lines in the whole story was the “Weasley is our King” pun from Ron. By the way, the Chocolate Chances sounded good enough to be Muggle candy! MMMMMM! |
