I like Harry's thoughts about other women and Ginny -- I think that is exactly what he would want, no pretense
'and I just don't like to use magic with them, because they belonged to your grandmother' -- interesting perspective; wouldn't a pureblood trust magic more?
So you've come back to Harry's role -- a new prophecy since you didn't have him as the one to kill Voldemort .
'it said neither can live while the other survives. It did not say that I was the one who would actually kill him' -- nice save
But Harry and Quidditch? as a cover perhaps. But with how well he did with the DA, I've always seen him as a teacher.

"Heal the pain" was actually the first fan fiction I read.
And although I read so many good ones after it, I have to say that this story is always on my mind. It touched me so much!!!
I absolutely looove it!!! Pleeease please continue with the sequel!

LMAO! I love this new Quidditch Harry! He's awesome! Just like yours was the first in which I read about Harry as an Unspeakable, I think this is the first in which I've read Harry actually playing Quidditch. (Usually it's mentioned, but then something Evil comes up and he doesn't do it.) I like the persona Harry has created for the media. I was laughing out loud when Harry was waving to the fans and putting his dragonhide vest back on afterwards. But even more than that, I liked that Harry doesn't like the act he's forced to put on for everyone. I love that he's the Liason now between the Corp and the Order, but I know it's also been eating Harry alive that he's no longer directly involved in what's going on in the fight.
My heart jumped when Harry's nephew came running towards him. I can't imagine how painful it is for him and Ginny to see Ron and Hermione's child and know they should have a three year old of their own by now. I felt even worse that they've been trying and can't conceive. How unfair that they had a baby and lost it when they weren't even ready and now they are they can't get pregnant! Life is still so unfair for Harry!
I'm really disappointed that it seems most of the Weasleys are no longer working together in the Corp. Granted, it's still very early in the fic, but I'm under the impression that Bill at least as left the Corps which makes me think that Charlie has as well. But did everyone except the Trio had their other jobs in Heal the Pain? In any case, I hope to see Blaze, Seth, Pollock, Castor, (were those their names? I can only really remember Loki?), Red Knight, Zypher... and of course Onyx in some way... back in action together. After all, who else but the newly extended-Weasleys can take down Blade and Cipher along with Wormtail and those other Evildoers? |

| I actually read this chapter before I read "Heal". I just couldn,t believe you couldn,t find a more Plausible new "Dark" Lord figure than "WORMY"?????He isn,t even believable. I,m not surprised at "Cipher" and "Blade", but will they be double agents? How can they be if the "Unspeakable" branch is so up on the security aspect of their operation. these two gits aren,t smart or clever enough to pull this off.Am just as anxious to read the other reviews as I am to see the next chapter. |

| Aibhinn, if there has been one thing I have been looking forward to as much as HBP it has been the sequel to Heal The Pain. What a brilliant start to a story, I printed it off and got into bed with a box of tissues and a mug of hot chocolate and enjoyed every word. When I read the new prophecy and then re-read where you wrote "it said neither can live while the other survives. It did not say that I was the one who would actually kill him." I just sat dumbstruck. In fact I sat so long my drink went cold. In all the numerous times of reading OOTP, and that's more times than I can recall, that alternative way of looking at it never crossed my mind. Brilliant as ever. Roll on chapter 2. |

Wow. What a way to start the next series.
I like how Harry is using his new career in Quidditch as a cover. I do wonder how Ginny feels about Harry using it to meet "the blondes" of the Order.
Sam seems to be a good mix of his parents. I can imagine the Twins trying to teach him how to be both a Beater & a Bludger.
Another thing that I wonder about, is how do the Aurors feel about being around Harry after the trial? I know that he was let off, but he did cast an Unforgivable. I know that the Aurors are guarding Ginny, but they have to be around Harry at least some of the time.
The new Prophecy is very interesting. Lets see if I can channel Ginny's gift to make a few predictions.
"Adoring faces will turn away," Harry will lose his Quidditch celebrity standing and/or teammates, friends will turn away.
"Loving hearts will suffer." Ginny will suffer. Hmm.. Will the new Dark Lord try to kidnap her? Also, could this be refering to the suffering Harry & Ginny face trying to conceive?

Wormtail is involved. So will Harry have to cooperate with Wormtail or is it literally meaning that Harry will have to take the silver hand from Wormtail?
Looking forward to seeing how my take on the new Prophecy turns out. |

Hmm... I'd have expected Harry to append something like "Sorry to have
missed spending some time alone with you; see you at the Burrow" to
Ginny's note -- so she'd see that he had seen it (of for no other
reason). [This is not a complaint; it's an observation from
someone who has been married for a while and who is accustomed to
working with (computer) communications prootcols.]

| there are not enough words to tell you how happy i am to see this story. i (i am sure i am not the only one though) have been waiting for this story since i read the last chapter of heal the pain!!! you are one of my favorite h/g writters and i can not wait to see were you take this story. just one chapter and i am hooked. please update soon, and if i may, please write lots and lots of outtakes too. maybe ron and hermione outtakes:) siriusly though great chapter, the whole baby thing is breaking my heart!!! thanks again for the great chapter!!! |
