Oohh...
I really like this vignette. You captured his loner (vice lonely) persona quite well, as well as him being far angrier and vicious than anyone suspects. "Special days" mean nothing to him. Your story pace moves along nicely and the shifts of perspective from Tom to Mrs. Cole and back is smooth.
The child Tom Riddle holds a morbid fascination for me. (Sort of like watching a wild life TV documentary about lions hunting, killing, and eating prey.) But what that child holds is the seeds to Lord Voldemort. Again, a well done vignette! |

Same here. The young Tom Riddle, when I read about him in HBP, really fascinated me and I knew I had to write a fanfic about him. I'm glad you enjoyed it! |

For some reason, that made me feel more sorry for Tom than disgusted. He's a seriously demented kid, but in a sad, pitiful sort of way. |

That's what I was trying to prove. Voldemort wasn't always crazy, it was just the way he was treated. Thanks for your review! |

Oh! That\'s freaky! Tom was even messed up when he was five! Creepy, but very good! |

I really was curious when I read HBP about Billy Stubbs' rabbit and how Tom could be so messed up, so yeah! Thanks for the review! |

Ooh, it's difficult to write from a young child's perspective, but I think you did a good job of it. I liked the ironic twists how Tom hated his middle name and didn't believe in witches. Great title, too - your story really lived up to its promise, showing us the bitter soul of Tom Riddle. Well done! |

Thank
you very much! I tried to include those twists to make the story seem
more real. I am glad you liked the title, also, it was hard to make. I
did have help, though. Thank you once again!
