New Year, New Hope
I'm glad you showed Ginny facing her fears, but I'm eve more glad you showed that it wasn't to easy for her to do so. It seems to me much more likely that someone in her position would struggle with their internal dialogue for a while, not just be able to pick up a broom and say 'fab, I'm cured!'.
I also loved the scene with Ginny and Ron in the Astronomy tower. It was such a nice sibling scene, but the fact that it finished with Ron still being a little awkward kept it quite in character. Two thumbs up!!

Since this was supposed to be a wrap-up chapter, closing up all the little strings I'd left hanging open, I needed the chapter to be as realistic as possible. It just didn't seem natural that Ginny should hop on her broom and go, not after all she went through to get here!

If I had to pick my favorite scene in this chapter, it would be the Ron/Ginny conversation. I hadn't written a brother/sister scene yet and it just seemed fitting to have Ron and Ginny try to find a balance and some closure to the school year with the sort of conversation they used to have as kids.

I'm glad you liked this chapter. It was fun to write.

It was great that Harry helped Ginny with flying again for the first time. His being there for her was so important. They've helped each other so much during this entire story.

Ginny and Ron's conversation on the Astronomy Tower was such a wonderful idea. I'm glad he wasn't mad about Harry paying for her treatment, and I liked how they could talk to each other about being in love. That was a moment of real maturity and growth for them to be so vulnerable with each other about such a personal topic. I'm glad she convinced him to tell Hermione now, and not to wait until he felt he'd earned her love (if that's what Ron was waiting for).

I also liked the final check-up scene with Madam Pomfrey. I had hoped that Ginny would no longer play Quidditch (except for games with family or friends, since they wouldn't let it get rough or out-of-hand), because of the warning against another serious injury or there'd be nothing they could do. I wasn't that surprised to read that Harry had neglected his own exercises, since he doesn't ever seem to worry about himself as much as he does others. I was glad when he had Madam Pomfrey show him the exercises he should be doing.

The Leaving Feast was perfect. I'm glad Dumbledore recognized so many individuals, yet that the feeling was one of unity and mutual support. Honoring Ron and Harry at the same time was perfect since it didn't leave Harry off until last feeling put on display. They deserved to be honored together since they dueled together, and Ron is always there for Harry in battle. Will we find out what Draco Malfoy did to rate being honored?

I'm also glad that Harry realized himself how he'd been acting towards Ginny. It seemed as if you were following the part of canon where Harry, Ron, and Hermione have to hunt for horcruxes, leaving Ginny behind. Is that correct?

I love it when you end up your chapters on warm, fluffy notes, as you did with them saying "I love you" to each other here.

I can't wait to read the Epilogue.

This turned out to be another chapter for tying up the loose ends that needed closure in this story. This was the first opportunity for Ginny to discover whether or not she was psychologically hurt by her fall and with Harry’s help she discovered she could conquer the fear that had plagued her since the accident. She then returned the favor when she helped Ron; since both have grown personally in this story, it just seemed natural that Ron and Ginny could talk so easily about a very personal subject.

I came up with the idea for Dumbledore’s speech when I heard a similar sermon at my church. Although the subject was mostly about the heroism of my country’s veterans, I made notes to include in the headmaster’s speech because the two seemed to go together so well. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for the sequel to discover what Draco Malfoy did to rate being honored.

Finally, the last scene between Harry and Ginny at bedtime is a foreshadowing of what will come in the sequel. I hope you can wait that long!

Thank you for your review. I really enjoy reading your thoughts on what I have written.

This is really good. I'm glad that Harry apologized to Ginny. He really can't tell her everything but he should n't shut her out completely either. At least they were able to help each other calm down enough to sleep a little. Thanks for writing. This has been a great story. I look forward to more if you choose to write more. Thanks again. p

You're the first person who has remarked on the last scene of this chapter. To me, it and the scene with Ron were the key scenes to this chapter because they helped her establish where she stood with the two boys who are most important to her. You can bet Sickles to seaweed that because of these talks Ginny will be more understanding when she's left out more and more in the sequel to this story. (More on that in the Author's Note of Chapter 19.)

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I look forward to your reviews of my future fics.

Aww this is the end of the story =( (excluding the epilogue). It is good to see that Harry and Ginny are going to make a recovery even after all they have been though.
I have throughly enjoyed this story and the one before that as it really shows that they are to 'be together'.
Your work is very good indeed!
Thankyou very much for sharing this story with me. It has been very rewarding indeed to read your work

I am looking forward to the Epilogue but hate to see this story end. Your Ginny and Harry are charming.

I laughed at this-
Hermione was actually funny. All she could do was sputter once she figured out you'd flown into my room.

I'm glad you laughed. It was meant to be that way. I'm also glad you like my Harry and Ginny. You're going to see more of them. Several readers have expressed the desire to see a continuation of this universe and I've started the sequel to bring it up to date with HBP. Look for Summer Story after the Epilogue is posted. I think I'll have the first chapter up before Deathly Hallows comes out since the first three chapters are finished.

I have truly enjoyed all your reviews and appreciate all the kind words and encouragement you've given me to finish this project. Since this was the awards dinner, I'm giving you a for sticking with me for so long!
