Wings!

whoa, it's so exciting! sooo much new work you've done - where to begin?

I think the emphasis on the "for a better future" idea is really smart - shows the way a leader gets people like Regulus on his side - and makes it believable for us to see Regulus making that choice. I'm sensing there might be some affection for Lily creating a conflict in the future? eh? You've written her well - very fiery and open. I was a bit surprised by her meekeness/modesty at the first meeting, because of that... but she's complex, no doubt about it!

I think Liam's family, and that whole part of the story, is wonderfully fleshed out and specific. And lots of fun to read. I'm really attached to Clare, for some reason, I hope we see more of her... Also I'm pretty worried about the fate of all of them! yikes! And I'm sooo curious about where Liam's granddad is now!! I know he's gonna be important, I just know it :-).

I liked the Death Eater meeting a lot - fascinating to think of those guys as young... I'm not used to it, really: when I read "Lucius" I automatically think of someone in his 40s, and you did a good job recreating that. The fact that they're sneaking around their parents' houses while the parents are out really hit me - I don't know if it was intentional, but it made me think of lame teenage boys trying to underage drink without getting caught by mom and dad. Which is a really illuminating layer to add to this group that will obviously become much more sinister.

I can't wait for Liam and Regulus' next interaction, and I'm really nervous about the Fawkes plan... it's hard to believe Regulus will be able to do it... And I hope Sirius and Regulus meet up at some point... oh and I like the character Alec quite a lot. Very real.

Well, that's all I'll say for now - we can talk much more tomorrow!! woohooo! cannot WAIT! this was great fun to read, I'm looking forward to the rest of it....

lots of love,

Thanks for your thoughtful review, dear, as always!!! This is why I love it when you read my stories. I'm selfish, I know...

I sort of picture Voldy as a mob leader or a cult leader. Sure, some of the DE's probably got into it because they liked slaughtering people, but not all of them, and I don't think Regulus was one of them, obviously. There had to be some other appeal.

I picture Lily as being fiery and passionate, but also respectful of elders. I think that in a new situation, with a new boss, and new people, she would probably be a bit meek and stand back a little before jumping right in. I think that some of that spirit is in Harry, and I doubt he got it from James.

I'm really attached to Clare, too, though I haven't written her in much (yet). It's hard to find ways to write a 2-yr-old! I'm a big fan of Liam and his family.

Yeah, the young Barty and Lucius was fun for me, cause I started writing them older, and then I realized, hey, these kids are 19, at most 21 years old. They're not going to act like they're 40. I kind of thought of them as frat boys out to make some mischief

Mmm...the Fawkes plan...some things will happen you may not expect

Can't wait to see you...in just three hours!!

Love,
Wings

thanks for including Liam in this chapter. i really do love reading about him. it looks like i was right in thinking that Liam's grandfather was a wizard as well, & now you've confirmed it.

The death eater activity is starting to give me goosebumps. i really want to know what happens next, yet i dread finding out.

Thanks for your review! I really enjoy thinking about how Lucius, Barty, and Severus would have been younger, though they are a bit slippery, aren't they?

More Liam fun coming up, I promise!

Wow, Regulus is getting a bit full of himself. That really surprised me, but I don't really know why, since he has been searching for fame and glory since the very beginning...
Can't say I didn't see the twist concerning Liam's grandfather coming, but I do think it enabled you to bring up a really good point: Can Liam truly live a full life if he can't be the person he has been training to be for seven years?

Well, he IS a Slytherin ... but then again, so is Liam. Hope you saw some of the Liam Slytherin qualities in this chapter, too.

Ah, Liam ... it's true. I love reading your reviews and hearing you voice your observations. Thanks!

Hi! I just found your story and I always like to read all that is written before I review. This story is very well done. I have a feeling that Regulus is an important part of the whole Harry Potter series. I really enjoy stories that involve others beside the "key players" so to speak. It's always nice to have a different point of view.

I like what you have done with Regulus. You don't portray him as an evil character, just extremely ambitious. You have also made him likable. Sirius kinda made him sound like a pansy in OotP. So I really like what you have done with him.

I'm really excited to see how this plays out. You are definitely talented and I can't wait for more. Update soon.

I'm the same way with leaving reviews, though I've found out how much they are appreciated since becoming an author! I really enjoy writing stories with other characters because I can have more fun with them. I'm glad that you like having a differing perspective, because I certainly have a great time coming up with it.

One thing that I realized when coming up with the concept was that the only information we have about Regulus comes from Sirius and Remus. Call me crazy, but I think that those are two biased sources...and based on the whole RAB idea, I figured there was more to him than Harry has ever realized.

I'm halfway done with chapter 10, so it should be up soon! Hope to hear from you again.
