Still recieving reviews? Know that this is a really brilliant fic. It is so Harry who finally has his dream come true. The dream of not only his own but an extended family as well. I loved it. Many thanks, Jeanne |

Aww I love it! Hahaha it was sooo cute and very romantic. And it's wonderful that Lily was born on Halloween, because now this day can be a happy one for Harry instead of a sad one. Wonderful story!
P.S. Ron's last line is perfect lol |

I really love this story--very sweet, very in character.
My one nit is the part where Harry is heading back to the burrow--starts out: "he didn't know how they got back to the Burrow." Then is mentioned things he _does_ remember, then it says: Nor did Harry recall how... It seems somewhat confused to me. The "Nor" in that statement seems to indicate a continuing series of things he doesn't remember, yet it comes right after two things he _does_ remember.
Anyway, great story! |

Awww Kezza!!!!!! I loved it so much!!! It was so sweet how Harry knew Ginny was in labor, and I grinned viciously when he was angry at the Minister. This is so great! I think I especially love the last line, when Ron said he wasn't allowed to teach Lily how to fly, because it seemed so like him. Fantastic story, Kez .

Thanks, dear! It seems the last line is indeed a winner! |
Miri Wednesday 15th October 2008 18:05 | An Unceremonious Beginning |
Congratulations Kezza! I was hesitating between this one and another one but voted for this one because it gave Harry what he's always wanted..a family. But I will say I didn't recognize it as yours.
I loved the interaction between Harry and all the children in the scene where he's reading to them...it was so full of quiet emotion. And so was Ron's interaction with the children--that last line was a classic and made me laugh.
The interaction with Harry and Ginny was great too. Thought she was going to put one over on him did she? And George really should have known better.

I've been waiting to review this piece for obvious reasons, but I knew despite my very poor form at reviewing I wanted to write on for this. It is a really good fic that includes so many different emotions and has the characters so well written as well as some very witty lines. But I think my favourite part to it is that Harry and Ginny finally get that good Halloween, I mean what with everything that has happened to Harry on that day and it being the anniversary of Ginny first opening the chamber of secrets, it was hardly a happy holiday. Hopefully that will change now. A very worthy winner. |

I think it will change now and it will be a very happy day indeed! Poor harry's had a bad run on Hallowe'en ... not any more! Thanks for the review and congrats back atcha! |

Okay! This one is my favorite of all the stories written for this challenge. It's got my vote. The birth of Harry and Ginny's little girl gives him a beautiful memory of Halloween at last. |

I was torn between this piece and "The Final Five" and in the end I did vote for the other. You have captured the things the heart holds dearest and added a good dose of homespun humor. It was a little hard for me to accept a Harry that was so aggressive from the first word with the Minister. Somehow it didn't come across as being courteous Harry. The last line is a true gem. Anyone would be proud of writing a closing line like that. |

What a terrific story! I can just see Harry and Ron surrounded by their children, first four, then five. I love how, instead of going straight to Molly, Harry took Lily to his best mate.
I also must say I loved how you captured Harry's irritation with the Minister and his ceremony. It seems some things just never change.
Thanks for sharing this little moment surrounding Lily's birth and how it possibly comes about. |
